Trends Spring/Summer 2016
Good morning to you all,
have you enjoyed your weekend? I know Monday is not the favorite day of anyone, how ever I am having a little surprise for you! Today I am skipping my outfit of the week and I am going to give you input about all the most important trends for S/S 2016.
Trend S/S 2016: Lace
One of the most obvious trends of this spring and summer is the usage of lace and pieces of lingerie that is worn outside of the bedroom or the private home. This trends lets women be sexy and femminine with a small touch of promises, that might now be kept 😉
Quite a number of famous designers have used this, just to name a view we have Alexander Wang, Chloe, Yves Saint Laurent, Narciso Rodriguez, Victoria Beckham, Burberry and Calvin Klein.
Trend S/S 2016: Spanish influence
This trend has a lot of different names through out the web, but the most important is, that there is fire behind. Powerful colours and extreme cuts that are mixed with the spanish culture are represented in this trend. The leading colours are red and black and you will mainly find off-the-shoulder details and prints on the all-over red dresses.
Designers that have incorporated this design in their latest Spring/Summer collection are Michael Kors, Marni, Jason Wu, Gucci, Antonio Marras and Alexander Mc Queen.
Trend S/S 2016: Net
Wherever you look you can find parts of this Spring/Summer 2016 trend. It is all about the fabric, that shows parts, that are usually hidden. Half-trasparent net-fabric is all-over the place! You can find it in the returning of the net-tights as well as in newly designed shirts and dresses that include net-fabrics partly or as the main fabric of the look.
Most known designers that have introduced this trend are Marx Jacobs, Versace, Chanel, Diesel, Dolce and Gabbana and Balmain.
Trend S/S 2016: White
White as a colour is untouchable with its brightness and power. The perfect colour for a new beginning where the story still needs to be designed on top. But of course fashion is not as easy as using a simple white shirt, but creates distinctions and style through different textures and cuts.
The most talked about designs of this trend are from Givenchy, Carolina Herrera, Alexander Mc Queen, Philipp Plein, Chanel and Dior.
Trend S/S 2016: Print blocking
Everyone is familiar with colour-blocking and this year the trend is taken to the next level. Everywhere you can find combinations that at first sight might remember of someone not having any knowledge about fashion, but when you take a second look are surprised how perfectly well those not together belonging print go. Of course there are rules and not every print works with every other print – but if feels like fashion this year is giving us a green line to try new things and experiment with remembered no-gos.
Among others Kenzo, Blumarine, Louis Vuitton, Squared, Gucci and Versace have incorporated this trend in their S/S 2016 collection.
Trend S/S 2016: Denim
Another trend that has started already two years ago is continuing and growing. Demi is big and you can find it all over decorated in every part of the clothing. This styling is inspired by the do-it-yourself and you can find denim jackets that are painted over or skirts that have all over pearls attached.
The look has gone all over the catwalks however the most inspired looks are from Chanel, Fay, Marc Jacobs and Cristiano Burani.
Trend S/S 2016: Bows
Bows will remind most of you of romantic looks and childish dress-up. However this Spring/Summer collection is inspired by something way more elegant than children’s braided plait. Bows are sensual, discrete and elegant. You either use too many or use them in the middle of your sight, this is how you cut out the childishness and use it as completing touch to your outfit.
Best designers pieces are done by Gucci, SIRA Milano, Sportmax, Moschino, Cushnieet Ochs, Roberto Cavalli and Rochas.
Trend S/S 2016: Modern Architecture
Who says an art can’t be inspired by an art has not seen the new looks from Calvin Klein and Céline. Accurateness and unusual body shapes are designed by the modern architecture inspired designs. Cut outs, avant-garde directed, surrealism and three dimensional are the definitions that show what with this trend is meant.
Most talked about looks are from Mugler, Vivienne Westwood, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Emilio Pucci and Roberto Cavalli.
Trend S/S 2016: Open Shoulders
This year is sexy for the women and we are able to show a little bit more skin again. The open shoulder trend of 2016’s spring/summer collection definitely helps with that. If elegant designs such as Givenchy and SIRA Milano have designed it or more architectonical ones like the one from Christopher Kane, this is THE trend.
Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Costume National, Mugler, Erdem and a lot more have used this trend to open up looks that are over-knee.
Trend S/S 2016: Paper Bag Pants
Have you every imagined how pants made out of paper bags could look like? Well now you have your answer! Nearly every designer has added this somewhere in the collection and they are going big. Retro mixed up with modern fashion is what this trend represents. Definitely a stylish and comfortable way to let the skirts at home for one day.
Designers include Salvatore ferragamo, Tod’s, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Vivienne Westwood.
I hope this is you some inspiration for the amazing trends of Spring/Summer 2016!
Enjoy and always Be-Sparkling!
